Call for approval of last month's minutes

  • A call for corrections or edit to last months minutes was made by Scribe Krawczyk. With the exception of one change ("while" to "white") a motion was made to accept the minutes as contained on the Assembly website; the motion was seconded and passed by unanimous vote.

  • A report of income and expense items of the past month was provided.

  • Transfers in:
  • There was a request by Robert Milstead to transfer in. A motion to accept was made, second and motion passed by unanimous vote.
  • There was a request by Robert Gorman to transfer in. A motion to accept was made, second and motion passed by unanimous vote.
  • Spouse of SK Tom Wiedeman sent a dontaion to the schollarship fundraiser and thank you note for the Assembly's assistance at the funeral.

Color Guard Report / RSVP (SK Strittmatter)

  • The Veterans Parade was the topic and members described their experiences and observations.

  • SK Ludgate is presently in the hospital.

Patriotic Reports

Veterans Support

  • In preparation for Veterans Day, SKs placed flags on the graves at Greenfield Memorial Park with various SKs described their experiences and observations. View some photos here.
  • The Veterans Support Raffle fundraiser was launched to provide funds for helping our veterans in various ways; the most visible being our support of Ashley House but goes on to other avenues such as Save-a-Vet-NOW, Paws4Vets, the Archdiocese for Military Affairs, etc. All councils were encouraged to sell their allotted tickets.
    Winners for the Veterans Support Raffle were drawn by Bob Gorman (new transferee).
    • $500 gift card winner was Miguel Saldana (Council 12107)
    • $250 gift card winner was Bob Gable (Council 12107)
    • $125 gift card winner was Frank Bio (Council 12107)

In God We Trust

  • RSVP: New Candidates being considered: Deacon Nicolas Rapkoch from the Diocese of Raleigh or Mike Sampson from the Arlington Diocese committed to the Archdiocese for Military Affairs. Thus, a motion was passed to approved supporting Deacon Rapkoch with a gift of $500.
  • Scholarship for Future Saints; Discussion was held for FN Strittmatter to meet with St Stanislaus's Pastor to support of the scholarship program.
  • Chalice Program was not included in the budget. Consideration will be given to purchase travel chalice kits.

Fraternal Social Report (FN Stritmatter)

  • A reminder that the Assembly Christmas Party at the South Beach Grill on Wrightsville Beach will be held on Monday 19 December.

Unfinished Business

  • No report.

New Business

  • Wreaths Across America: On 17 December at Noon, wreaths will be placed on all graves at the Wilmington National Cemetery. For the first eight SKs arriving, they will be given new Knights of Columbus hats (obtained by FN Strittmatter).
  • Budget Revision: Motion was passed to approve (as amended) the 2022/2023 Assembly Budget.
  • Discussion was held to reallocate funds ($500) for the Veterans Parade to the Ashley House.
  • Future meeting locations: research continues on the viability of rotating meeting between St Mark and St Mary and on varying days. Discussion to continue to find a reasonable solution to attract more SKs to meetings.

Report of Third Degree Councils

1074 Wilmington

  • No report.

11817 St. Stanislaus

  • Polish Festival held on weekend of 05 November was the single best festival to date. Thank you SKs for your help.
  • Pastoral Council is working on the Advent Reflection program for 10 December. Fr. Stevens and Robert Agnelli to host.
  • Triple Star Council Award to be given.

12017 St. Mark

  • On 15 November the Council held an exemplification to the third Degree of nine (9) candidates.
  • 252 Coats For Kids were distributed - another successful campaign.
  • On 10 November the council will cook / grill for the Faith Formation classes.
  • On 10 December the council will go Christmas caroling at various assisted living facilities, ending at St Mark in time to serenade the Parishioners leaving the Vigil Mass.

12281 All Saints

  • The council is hosting the a Community Assistance drive which is being advertised on Social media. Dates to be provided.
  • 05 Dec between 12-6 there will be a blood drive.
  • 17 Dec The council will participate in the Wreaths Across America though be placing wreaths at the Hampstead Cemetery and other rural locations.

  • 13 Dec - the Council is having their Christmas party at South Beach Grill on Wrightsville Beach.
