2026 Collegiate Scholarship

The 2026 Collegiate Scholarship has come to a successful conclusion. This is a merit-based program created to assist graduating high school Catholics who are registered parishioners at Deanery Parishes. The scholarships are awarded directly to senior year high school students, who will be enrolling in a university, college or community college for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic school year, to aid with their first year college educational or living expenses.

Three scholarships were awarded at the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Christopher Dennen Assembly 2017 meeting on May 19 as determined by a five member panel of judges, comprised of representatives from Deanery parishes and the Knights of Columbus, the following students were recognized: Stephen Drescher– All Saints Parish (Gold Prize of $4,000); Isabel Layton– St. Mark Parish (Silver Prize of $3,000) and Evan Lang– St. Therese Parish (Bronze Prize of $2,000).

The three winners demonstrated outstanding academic records and were required to submit a detailed autobiographical statement highlighting their ongoing participation and involvement in the Church, in addition to their involvement in their school and community. Each applicant was also required to research and write an essay on the spiritual transformation of a Catholic Saint (or Blessed individual) and include a statement on how their investigation of the chosen Saint’s life calls them to lifelong spiritual development. The panel of judges were impressed by the quality of the applicants essays.

Information on the 2027 Collegiate Scholarship will be announced in November.
